Sony Bends the Knee and Cancels Mandatory Helldivers 2 PSN Account Linking Update

Helldivers 2 PC players galore as Sony has confirmed that it has canceled the upcoming mandatory Helldivers 2 PSN account linking update.

A lot has been said and written over the past few days regarding the mandatory PSN account creation and linking for Helldivers 2 players on PC.

Although confirmed months ago, it recently came to the attention of the PC community that setting up and linking a PSN account was required in order to keep playing Arrowhead's hit title.

After players became aware, thousands of negative Steam reviews followed and Valve decided to offer refunds, even for those who played the game for more than two hours.

In addition, the game was made available for purchase in more than hundred countries that don't have the ability to create a PSN account.
