In the wake of ‘s theatrical release, director Jeff Fowler has come out to share his two cents on the franchise’s future. The film series kickstarted in 2020 and instantly managed to attract fans’ attention due to its captivating narrative.
The Sonic franchise has only gone onwards and upwards since then and has facilitated the big-screen debut of several fan-favorite characters such as Knuckles, Doctor Eggman, and more.
However, one easy-going member that has yet to feature in the movies is Big the Cat. In a recent discussion, Fowler opened up about the character’s absence and his possible future in subsequent Sonic 4 sequels.
Jeff Fowler admitted to being aware of Big the Cat’s popularity among the Sonic fandom, as well as how his inclusion would affect the fate of the franchise.
While talking to Dexerto, the Gopher Broke director stated, “I think that everyone always jokes about Big the Cat, so I can’t say when or where or how, but we’re very aware of his popularity and what that might mean for our movie universe.
