Many players hastily upload their lots directly from Build mode. While this is quick and easy, it often skips the vital test to see if the actual building and objects are functional. Many players use the Gallery to populate their town and provide adequate lots for their Sims.
But, it can be a burden if the fridge is inaccessible, the toilets are blocked, or if various floors can’t be easily accessed. It is important to see if both public and residential lots work with Sims of all ages.
Some areas easily used by adults might still cause glitches for children and even younger Sims. This is especially true for infants in , who have only been a lifestate for two years.
Ladders are a prime example, as the adult Sim needs one hand free to carry a baby up and down. Accounting for animals is also great, but it isn’t as heavy a requirement as not every player has access to cats, dogs, and horses in .
Some Builders will place walls, useable objects, and decorations the bare minimum distance from each other. While this can look nice during construction, it doesn’t pan out during gameplay.
