Iconic PS1 Sci-Fi Flight Sim G-Police Coming to PS5, PS4 with PS Plus Premium | Push Square

Psygnosis’s iconic PS1 flight combat game G-Police is the latest classic to get ported to PS5 and PS4 as part of Sony’s PS Plus Premium emulation efforts from 21st May. The title, originally released all the way back in 1997, sees you commandeering a VTOL in a futuristic, Blade Runner-inspired futuristic environment. While it largely received mixed reviews upon release, it’s stood the test of time as one the more memorable first-party titles deployed for Sony’s inaugural console.

As is the case for all PlayStation’s emulation efforts these days, you can expect uprendering, video filters, rewind functionality, and quick saves. There will almost certainly be Trophies to unlock, too, as practically all re-released first-party classics feature a selection of gongs these days.

The release will be flanked by extreme sports sequel 2Xtreme, a title which features rollerblading, skateboarding, cycling, and snowboarding. It’s actually the successor to ESPN Extreme Games, which is presumably not being ported due to licensing reasons. Subscribers will also be able to download Worms Pinball, a rebranded version of Addiction Pinball from British developer Team17.

A lot of people are complaining about this month on PSN but G-Police makes it worth it for me — especially if there are indeed going to be quicksaves.

Wow hard to imagine almost, hope this might be a sign of a sequel,,can dream..

G-Police is a great addition.

The game was ahead of its time on PS1, graphically and mechanically.

It’s one of the most overlooked and underrated games of that generation.

Might give this a go for old times sake. I’d give a kidney for
