Mason Gooding has provided some details about . The seventh Scream feature, which is currently in production in Atlanta, will see the return of Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin.
The actor first played the character back in 2022 and reprised the role in Scream VI in 2023. The plot details for Scream 7 are still being kept close to the vest, but it is expected to revisit the story of Sidney Prescott, with Neve Campbell returning once again to play the fan-favorite final girl.
While other details about Scream 7 are still thin at this moment, Gooding — who can next be seen in the upcoming movie Heart Eyes — teased that the seventh installment in the iconic slasher franchise will feature “the most brutal Ghostface.” “This is the most brutal Ghostface I think there’s ever been from an anatomically logistical standpoint,” the actor told the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast (via Bloody Disgusting). “There’s a lot of blood and viscera, and I feel like with Kevin Williamson directing, fans have a lot to look forward to with what we do with these characters.” In addition to Gooding and Campbell, returning cast members also include Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin.
Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, who respectively played Stu Macher and Roman Bridger in previous Scream movies, also returning.
