According to the latest rumors, Frank Woods, a classic character from theCall of Duty series, may appear in the next Black Ops title as a playable operator.
Frank Woods played major roles throughout the Call of Duty: Black Ops series narratives, and players may get the chance to control him in multiplayer in a future release.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops titles are famous in the franchise for maintaining a sense of narrative experimentation, visiting time periods and settings that aren't as commonly explored in Call of Duty titles.
The original Black Ops game visited the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion, as well as the Vietnam War. Series developer Treyarch also used the Black Ops series to further expand the now-standard Call of Duty Zombies gameplay.
Cut content from the Black Ops titles revealed all manner of experiments and other potential gameplay innovations. Now it looks like the next Call of Duty: Black Ops game may try to capitalize on players' affection for some of the game's recurring characters.
