MultiVersus fans think that an ongoing ARG that's scheduled to end at some point today is going to reveal the next big character coming to the game - The Joker.
As great as it was to finally see MultiVersus re-emerge after more than a year without any substantial updates (and no, the constant Twitter teases don't count), fans have been a little disappointed that we haven't had any new character reveals in that time.
Sure, we've had hints at The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter, but we're all hoping for a proper unveiling of who we can play as next.
That looks like it's about to change very soon, though. Yesterday, the official MultiVersus social media accounts shared an image of a purple and yellow box with a padlock around it, signalling the start of a ten-part ARG that tasked players with finding clues and revealing what's in the box.
As anyone who bothered to watch the MultiVersus and NHL crossover will no doubt know, we've been burned by getting too excited about social media teases for MV in the past, so it's fair to say there was some scepticism about this event.
