Impressively Accurate Silent Hill Maria Cosplay "Could Be Her Twin"

One cosplayer had fans seeing double, as their Maria cosplay had fans swearing they were looking at the character's twin. Maria is one of the most iconic characters from, outside of player character James Sunderland and franchise mascot Pyramid Head, and central to the story.

Maria's outfit from the survival horror classic is often a cosplay favorite and has been striking since the game's 2001 release.

Cosplayer purple_toast_cosplay posted to Reddit a photo of their Maria cosplay that got fans talking. It's an exact recreation of Maria's outfit from the original game, down to the pink highlights in her blonde hair.

According to Polygon, Maria's outfit in the original game was inspired by Christina Aguilera's 1999 Teen Choice Awards outfits and helped root the game in the period it was released.

Comments in the thread praised the accuracy of purple_toast_cosplay's outfit and the work it must've taken to make it. Commentators in the Reddit thread asked purple_toast_cosplay how they nailed the details of Maria's looks, like the blonde wig and pink highlights.
