According to a new report from Variety, Severance star is set to step into the horror genre once again in, a new film from Oddity director Damian McCarthy.
Alongside Scott, Hokum will also star Peter Coonan and David Wilmot. The film will be the latest from McCarthy, whose film Oddity became a smash hit after its premiere this past year.
According to Variety’s report, Hokum will follow Scott, a horror novelist who visits a remote Irish inn “to spread his parents’ ashes, unaware the place is rumored to be haunted by a witch.” For Scott, the world of horror is no unfamiliar territory.
The Severance star has appeared in a number of high-profile horror pictures, including the 2015 cult classic Krampus, 2010’s Piranha 3D, and 1996’s Hellraiser: Bloodline, one of his earliest acting roles.
He’ll also appear in the upcoming horror film The Monkey. Hokum will be produced by Spooky Pictures founders Roy Lee and Steven Schneider, as well as Image Nation’s Derek Dauchy and Tailored Film’s Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde, and Mairtín de Barra.
