Square Enix dropped a new demo for Visions of Mana earlier this week. Visions of Mana is the first new mainline entry in the Mana series of RPGs since the release of Dawn of Mana in 2006.
The demo will start players at Rime Falls partway through Chapter 1 and take players through a variety of locations including the Fallow Steppe and Rhata Harbor. Players who are particularly eager to test their mettle will also be able to challenge the chapter’s final boss, the Kraken.
Party members Val, Careena, and Morley will also be available to join players on their adventures.
Players who have save data from the demo and purchase Visions of Mana will unlock three weapons for Val, including a Gladius, Falx, and Horn Lance. These items aren’t exclusive and can be acquired in game.
The Gladius can be equipped to Val in Chapter 1, though the Falx and Horn Lance can only be equipped once the ability to change classes becomes available.
Demo progress will not carry over into the full game.
Visions of Mana will arrive on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC on Steam and the Microsoft Store on August 29.
