If your streak is dependent on you winning today’s puzzle, you might want to use some hints to make sure you win. Today has some word choices that were different from what I was expecting, and these puzzles are good at tricking you anyway. There were some categories that would be hard to spot without context as well, which is always interesting.
Once you have more context, however, it should be easier to solve the puzzle and salvage your streak before its too late. If you want to play a different kind of word game, you will want to try out the NYT’s puzzle.
It is a different kind of word search, where you don’t actually know what words you are searching for. You do get a hint, but it can sometimes mean more than one thing which can make it hard to get the right words.
The good news is you don’t need to know, as the more words you guess that aren’t part of the puzzle, the more hints you receive as well.
If you need help figuring out what to do today, that is understandable. I myself got a “phew” as there were several guesses that were very close but not close enough. There are a lot of words that could mean near the same thing, which is not helpful when you are attempting to search them out.
