Final Fantasy XVI PC 1.02 Update Introduces New Graphics Settings, Performance Improvements

A new Final Fantasy XVI PC update went live a few hours ago, introducing new graphics settings, enhanced performance and several other improvements and bug fixes.

The 1.02 update introduces, besides a cursor lock option and improved help text for Photo Mode, and improvements for Shadow Quality settings, which now include cloud quality at all three levels instead of leaving the cloud quality always at high. This should bring performance improvements when selecting medium or low. Graphical Fidelity settings have also been changed to improve overall performance.

Final Fantasy XVI heralds in a new standard for Japanese role-playing games and while the RPG components themselves are limited by Square-Enix standards, it's the narrative and gameplay that exceed all expectations. What begins with kingdom-wide subterfuge and destruction ends with a world forever changed and the player, as Clive Rosfield and Ifrit together, are the driving force to see it all through until the end.
