Recently, there have been some odd choices for remasters and remakes for the PlayStation 5, with Sony turning to its recent hits rather than its classics of old. The latest PlayStation remaster was and, although both the original game and its sequel were huge successes, the remaster has struggled by comparison. A remaster always felt like an odd choice, given that the original game still looks great and can be played on all the same platforms its remaster can, and it's now evident that it was the wrong choice.
Instead of remastering/remaking games that do not need the extra love, PlayStation could put the currently quiet Bluepoint games to work on a title that players want remade. Bluepoint has been known for remaking titles, and although it started with the, the remake is what put the studio on the map with its incredible visuals. The remake consolidated the studio as a developer with a knack for great visuals, and another title remake could keep the momentum going for another hit, possibly for the PS6.
is one of the cult classic franchises in PlayStation's vast library of titles, yet it hasn't seen much love since its fourth game was released in 2013. A trilogy was made between 2002 and 2005, which later got remastered, yet a new title hasn't been made for over ten years, and the series has been practically abandoned. has made its way onto the PS5 via the PlayStation store, available for free to PS Plus subscribers, and it has done well despite being an emulated version of the PS2 version rather than a port of the PS3 remaster.
With the new Indiana Jones game coming to PlayStation 5, there is a handful of other Xbox-exclusive games that might also make the transition.
There is clearly enough appeal for to get some Bluepoint love, especially since its last two titles, and both had a greater reputation than playerbase. is in this same category, and a Bluepoint remake with amazing visuals would be a title that many would visit due to the series' reputation as one of
