Yakuza 8 has been officially revealed at the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Summit for a 2024 release, and the reveal trailer shows that an older Kiryu will be featured in the game.

Although this is the first proper reveal for Yakuza 8, we've known about it for some time. Not only did Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirm that it was working on the next game in the series following Like A Dragon's release. A few months ago, Famitsu gave us a brief glimpse at Yakuza 8 through a few seconds of footage, revealing that Ishi, Nanba, and Adachi will be the focus of the game once more and also revealing that Ichi has a new look, which we see in the trailer.
