Gamesindustry.biz has released its European Monthly Charts, and it reports that more Xbox Series consoles have sold in the last month than PS5 consoles. This is due to the rise in availability of Xbox Series S consoles in Europe recently. The stocks of both the PS5 and Xbox Series X continue to be a struggle for both consoles.
This report is a huge win for Xbox and its Series consoles since there have been many issues with availability due to the pandemic. Sony has been having the same issue with speculation that this could lead to the PS5 having a longer console generation than expected.
It's worth noting that these rising Xbox sales are mainly from Europe and don't reflect sales of the consoles in North America or any other part of the world at this time. The growing availability of the Xbox Series S having a part in the success of these sales in Europe is promising and could allude to more stock being available in the future.
