Xbox Game Pass operates like a revolving door, with some games constantly coming in and other games leaving at the middle and end of the month. Xbox Game Pass has a bunch of games lined up for October 2022, including recently revealed titles like Amnesia: Collection, Amnesia: Rebirth, Phantom Abyss, Frog Detective, and more, but 8 are leaving on October 31.
Losing games on a holiday may seem odd at first, but it obviously has nothing to do with it being Halloween. The last day of the month always seems games leave the service, so it's no surprise that Xbox Game Pass and Halloween line up this way. The good news is that Xbox Game Pass has introduced a bunch of great games to play this Halloween and continues to do so, while those leaving on Halloween don't really undermine the holiday in any way.

Xbox Game Pass is losing Alan Wake: American Nightmare, Backbone, Bassmaster Fishing 2022, Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, Project Wingman, Second Extinction, Sniper Elite 4, andThe Forgotten City. This means fans have nearly two weeks to check out these titles if they have to yet. Alan Wake is a bit of a hit, but truth be told, American Nightmare is not so much a horror game, so it's not a big deal. The Forgotten City was born from a Skyrim mod and is a great timeloop game. Sniper Elite 4 may be leaving, but Sniper Elite 5 is still on the service. All in all, it's not the worst line-up of games to ever leave the service, with just one or two that most subscribers should definitely check out.
