There's no E3 this year, but that doesn't mean the weekend on which it was set to take place won't still be crammed with lots of video game news. Just because the usual platform studios have to announce news and reveal trailers won't be there this June doesn't mean there isn't still news to announce. Two studios that still have lots to tell us are Xbox and Bethesda, and the two will be joining forces again this year to put on a showcase that is almost guaranteed to be packed with big news.
Xbox confirmed that it and Bethesda will still have a lot to say and reveal during the weekend previously reserved for E3 via its website today. As was the case last year, Xbox and Bethesda, its most expensive acquisition until it bought Activision Blizzard earlier this year, will be holding a joint showcase.

Xbox and Bethesda's joint games showcase will begin at 1 pm ET on Sunday, June 12, 2022. No word yet on how long you can expect it to run, but it will be broadcast in 30 languages and made available to watch live across multiple platforms and channels. Xbox's YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok channels and accounts will all be showing the presentation.
As for what you can expect to see during the showcase, that is yet to be revealed. Odds are Xbox and Bethesda will be keeping their cards close to their collective chest until the showcase begins in a little more than six weeks. The educated guesswork can officially begin though, and it's probably safe to assume Starfield will have a starring role in the show. The ambitious sci-fi adventure from Bethesda is still slated to be here before the end of 2022, yet surprisingly little of it has been shown off thus far.
