Thanks to one skilled WWE 2K22 player, Red Dead Redemption 2 anti-hero Arthur Morgan is ready to trade the Old West for the Squared Circle. While 2K Games and Visual Concepts’ most recent wrestling simulator isn’t without its flaws and missing features, WWE 2K22 is seen by many as a marked improvement over past WWE titles and offers would-be superstars with plenty of options for fulfilling their dreams of dominating the ring. These include the Rey Mysterio-centric 2K Showcase Mode, WWE 2K22's career-based MyRise, and team-oriented MyFaction — a new addition to the franchise that allows players to build their own stable of grapplers to take on other groups using collectible Power Cards.
As with most of WWE’s past video game offerings, WWE 2K22 contains an in-depth character creation suite that lets players craft their dream competitor to either rule the ring in standard exhibition matches or ascend to the ranks of WWE stardom in MyRise. Aside from creating a completely original persona from scratch, fans have also used WWE 2K22’s creation suite to recreate popular characters from movies, shows, and video games. This can even extend to real-life celebrities, as shown in a recent WWE 2K22 backstage brawl between real-life rivals Kanye West and Pete Davidson. Best of all, players can upload their custom wrestlers to WWE 2K22’s online server, allowing other fans to build their own dream rosters full of famous characters across all forms of entertainment media.
