World of Warcraft Classic fans have had a lot to celebrate recently between the Ahn’Qiraj war effort Season of Mastery update and theWrath of the Lich King Classic announcement. To add to the hype, Burning Crusade Classic just launched Fury of the Sunwell–the final major patch before Wrath of the Lich King.
Fury of the Sunwell adds the Isle of Quel’Danas zone to World of Warcraft Classic. The small island is host to daily quests, rewards, and the Sunwell Plateau raid, which pits players against the demon lord Kil'jaeden and corrupted Prince Kael’thas.

Players seeking to go to the Isle of Quel’Danas will need to head to Shattrath City after reaching level 70. When there, players will find new quests in the Aldor Rise or Scryer’s Tier, depending on their affiliation. A short quest will lead players to Ironforge for Alliance players and Silvermoon for Horde, which will provide flight paths to Quel’Danas, where they can begin their daily quests to gain reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive.
The Fury of the Sunwell patch was the final patch before Wrath of the Lich King was launched, meaning the next expansion will likely come to Classic soon. World of Warcraft said it was expected to launch in 2022, meaning the Wrath of the Lich King beta is likely to come sometime in the summer, with a likely launch in fall or winter. The Exploring Azeroth: Northrend book is currently slated for an October launch as well, further suggesting a similar release for Wrath of the Lich King Classic.
