Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney from Vanderpump Rules were together for 12 years before they announced their divorce earlier this week. Despite the multiple ups and downs throughout their relationship, fans of the pair were shocked when they confirmed the divorce speculation. Especially after Tom and Katie revealed they planned on welcoming a child on Vanderpump Rules season 9.
The speculation began earlier this week when Katie shared a photo to Instagram of her without her wedding ring. In the photo, Katie was out to dinner at The Beverly Hills Hotel with former Vanderpump Rules cast member, Stassi Schroeder. Fans noticed the missing ring and immediately began asking in the comment section about her relationship status with Tom.

Five days later, the pair each took to their social media accounts to confirm they are getting a divorce. While Tom and Katie have a lot of love for each other, they both knew their relationship wasn't working anymore. However, that doesn't take away from the 12 years of memories they have together.
Tom and Katie were set up in 2011 by former castmate and friend Kristen Doute. Their first meeting didn't go as planned, but when they got together the second time, the former couple immediately clicked.
When Vanderpump Rules made its debut on Bravo in 2013, so did Katie and Tom. However, Tom didn't become an official cast member until season 3, which is the season where Tom spilled a drink on Katie's head while on a cast trip. Throughout their time together on Vanderpump Rules, Tom and Katie went through a few infidelity issues as well. Despite his indiscretions, Tom and Katie got engaged during season 4.
