Valheim is a fantasy sandbox survival game that was released in early access in February 2021. The game draws heavily from Viking imagery for the design of its game world. FromSoftware also took some inspiration from Norse designs to make Elden Ring. This made the game visually distinct from the more European gothic settings found in FromSoftware’s other famous fantasy series Dark Souls.
