Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1's sold-out Firefly Edition will be getting more limited stock on September 2, and that it's looking into what it can do for European fans.
When The Last of Us Part 1 was revealed during Summer Game Fest a couple of months ago, a limited edition called the Firefly Edition was made available for pre-order. This version of the game ran for $99.99 and contains a limited edition steelbook, a collection containing the American Dreams comics, and early unlocks for several in-game items.

Unfortunately, in a very similar tale to what happened with God of War Ragnarok's Jotnar Edition, the Firefly Edition sold out almost instantly on the PlayStation Direct store, with no restocks made available since that initial listing in June. That's about to change, however, as Naughty Dog has announced a limited restock on the game's launch date, September 2.
Naughty Dog tweeted, "With The Last of Us Part I launch approaching, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll have another limited set of Firefly Editions available for purchase on 9/2/22 at 12AM ET in the U.S. These will be on a first-come, first serve basis, exclusively on (PlayStation Direct)."
That wasn't the only news that it had to share in regards to special editions for The Last of Us Part 1, however. When the Firefly Edition was first revealed, Last of Us fans in European regions were saddened to find out that there was no special edition of the game releasing for them, something that neither PlayStation nor Naughty Dog acknowledged. However, Naughty Dog has now confirmed it's looking into what it can offer European players.
