Featuring animated short films taking place in the Star Wars mythos, Star Wars: Visions will be expanding into the comic book sphere with a Marvel series by the same name that adds a manga twist to the Galaxy far far away. The first details of the comic book's debut issue have surfaced, revealing it will focus on the Ronin from the first episode, «The Duel,» a mysterious Sith who protects the innocent.
The first season of Star Wars: Visions was released on Disney+ on September 22, 2022, with seven Japanese animation studios producing different episodes and their talented creators exploring their own interpretation of the space opera. It was revealed at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 that the animated series would become a comic book. Fans of the television series will also be excited to know Star Wars: Visions has been renewed for a second season and is set to release in Spring 2023.

The official StarWars.com has an exclusive preview of Marvel's September 2022 Star Wars comics featuring the new Star Wars: Visions comic book series spinning out of the animated anthology. Among the details and images released are the official cover for the first issue, concept sketches, and solicitation information. Takashi Okazaki will be pulling double duties as both the writer and artist for at least the first issue, which features his Ronin character from the first episode of Star Wars: Visions, «The Duel» (an episode that also arguably introduced the best Sith light saber).
