A new trailer for the third season of Star Trek: Picard has reunited the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and has also revealed a new ship to help explore the final frontier of space. As part of its Star Trek day celebrations, Paramount released the new trailer for the final season which sees Picard assemble his old Enterprise crew for a new mission against a mysterious force that seemingly poses a major threat to the Federation.
There's plenty going on in this trailer, which includes glimpses of the Federation headquarters being destroyed, Seven of Nine on the bridge of the Titan, and plenty of familiar faces. Picard's final season see's the return of Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Troi (Marina Sirtis), Geordi (LeVar Burton), Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), and Worf (Michael Dorn), as well as a glimpse at the new Enterprise that Patrick Stewart teased back at the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the show.
It'll still be a while before Picard warps in for its final season on February 16, 2023, but there's no shortage of Star Trek content to watch right now. The franchise has had a rebirth as of late, with shows such as Discovery, Brave New Worlds, and Lower Decks appearing on streaming platforms such as Paramount+, and a new Star Trek film set in the Kelvin timeline scheduled to begin production later this year.
In the video game department, fans can also look forward to Star trek: Resurgence, a new narrative-driven game being developed by former Telltale Games writers and developers at Dramatic Labs.
