Releasing in September, Splatoon 3 is one of the most anticipated Switch games coming out this fall. Recently, fans enjoyed a whole host of reveals about the game in a Nintendo Direct presentation all about Splatoon 3. Fans found out multiple details about customization, competitive multiplayer, new stages, weapons, and more. It seems that Nintendo has added a lot of new features to Splatoon 3, which will likely attract more fans, but that doesn't mean the company has forgotten about its veteran players.
Rather, Nintendo is giving some extra bonuses to players of Splatoon 2 when they log into the third game. According to Nintendo's webpage for Splatoon 3, those who have save data from Splatoon 2 will be able to transfer that information when they launch Splatoon 3 and get special in-game benefits and rewards. These rewards include three Gold Sheldon Licenses that can be exchanged for main weapons in Splatoon 3, giving the player access to any equipment they want regardless of level.

Also, players will be able to join Splatoon 3's Anarchy Battles, which is the new name for Splatoon 2's Ranked Battles mode, as soon as they launch the game. As well, due to a player's previous experience in Ranked Battles, they will start Splatoon 3 with a higher rank than someone beginning the game from scratch. It seems that Nintendo is hoping to provide somewhat of a level playing field in Splatoon 3's competitive multiplayer by letting the experienced players of Splatoon 2 match with each other online from day one.
