The next graphics card generation is tiptoeing ever closer, and the likes of Nvidia and AMD are preparing to launch their next graphical offerings within the next few months. That's not to say that current-gen hardware will cease to become available. In fact, Intel has yet to fully release its Arc Desktop GPUs, and there will still be plenty of opportunity to purchase Ampere or RDNA 2 products, supplies being well of course. The tweet is in response to someone who expressed joy at having received an Nvidia RTX 3080 12 GB, a card which came out in January. MEGAsizeGPU says that I_Leak_VN was lucky to get hold of this GPU as the company has allegedly stopped production of this, and only this, piece of hardware.

It should be stated that what's being said on Twitter is just a rumor, and there's been no official word from team green on whether the 12 GB variant of this Ampere card is no longer being produced.
Nvidia announced the RTX 3080 12 GB just a few months ago as well, with the GPU coming out in January. It might seem odd then that the company is willing to stop making it ahead of the 40-series coming out, but seemingly continue producing other hardware in the Ampere range. However, if what MEGAsizeGPU is true, then removing
