So far, plenty of details have been revealed about the Shadows of Rose DLC, including story points and how difficult it was to implement some of the game's features. The director of Resident Evil Village has stated that Shadows of Rose will be the climax of the Winters' storyline in the franchise, giving plenty of space for a new protagonist to take the reins in Resident Evil 9. However, Shadows of Rose goes beyond just giving players a new story experience, as it also brings a whole host of new gameplay mechanics and features, including a third-person mode.

Speaking with Polygon, Game Director Kento Kinoshita revealed a lot of new details on the Mercenaries Additional Orders content, including the fact that Lady Dimitrescu had to be shrunk down from 9'6" to just under 9 feet in order to be playable within the game's technical parameters. The giant mutant is one of three characters that will be available with Mercanaries Additional Orders, which also lets players take on the roles of Chris Redfield and Heisenberg.
