The first week of the PEL 2022 Spring concluded with The Chosen (TC) emerging as the weekly champion. They have been awarded a total prize money of 1,000,000 Yuan ($153K). The team showed a sparkling performance to accumulate 147 points and 87 kills.
Earlier, the top 6 teams from the pre-season and top 9 teams from Week 1 Breakout had qualified for the Week 1 Finals.
Team Kone, who recently acquired team RNG's roster, finished in second place with 131 points, followed by JDE with 130 points. RSG and WBG managed to hold on to their third and fourth places with 118 points each. World champion Nova Esports came sixth place with 116 points.
The top 6 teams have also advanced to the Week 2 finals, while the bottom 9 teams, along with the 10th-15th ranked teams from Breakout 1, will have to play in Week 2 Breakout.

4 Angry Men (4AM), a popular team, occupied 8th place with 101 points. TJB, who won the PEL 2021 Season 2, placed 9th position, followed by Show Time.
Six To Eight, who claimed the PEL 2021 season 4, had an average run in Week 1 as they finished in 13th place. VS Esports, who recently signed the roster of DKG, secured 14th place. SMG had a poor week as the team finished in 15th place.

Wyy from Team Chosen was the MVP of the Week 1 Finals as he secured 31 frags. RSG DD came in second place on the kill leaderboard with 24 finishes.
Tencent changed the PEL 2022 format as they added a new stage, the play-offs, which will start after the regular season. The Spring season features a massive prize pool of $4.3 million.
