Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the most downloaded PS4, PS5 and PlayStation VR games of 2022.
On Tuesday the company published separate top 20 charts for PS4 and PS5 in both the US/Canada and Europe.
It also released top ten charts for PlayStation VR titles and free-to-play games in each region.
The PS5 chart in the US/Canada was topped by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, ahead of God of War Ragnarök, NBA 2K23, Elden Ring and Madden NFL 23.
FIFA 23 led the download chart in Europe, followed by Modern Warfare 2, God of War Ragnarök, Elden Ring and Grand Theft Auto 5.
Gran Turismo 7, the latest entry in Sony’s best-selling franchise of all-time, charted at No.9 in the US/Canada and at No.6 in Europe, while Horizon Forbidden West came in at No.8 in both regions.
Modern Warfare 2 also led PS4 downloads in the US/Canada, ahead of Grand Theft Auto 5, Minecraft, Elden Ring and NBA 2K23. God of War Ragnarök charted at No.9 and Horizon Forbidden West at No.13, but Gran Turismo 7 failed to make the top 20.
FIFA 23 was the No.1 PS4 game in Europe, followed by Grand Theft Auto 5, Modern Warfare 2, Minecraft and FIFA 22. God of War Ragnarök came in at No.15, Gran Turismo 7 at No.19, and Horizon Forbidden West at No.20.
On the PlayStation VR chart, Beat Saber, Job Simulator and Superhot VR took the top three spots in both the US/Canada and Europe, just as they did in 2021. Creed: Rise to Glory was at No.4 in both regions.
Fall Guys was the top free-to-play game in the US/Canada and Europe. Fortnite was at No.2 in the US/Canada and at No.3 in Europe, while Call of Duty: Warzone/Warzone 2.0 was at No.3 in the US/Canada and at No.2 in Europe.
