TheOverwatch 2 developers share a blog post updating fans on aspects of gameplay they are looking at internally. This is to guarantee that the player experience at all skill levels is balanced for the remainder of Season 1.
With the opening week server issues mostly behind them, Overwatch 2 developers have shared one of their first blog posts that mainly focuses on the gameplay, hero balancing, and the map pool. This blog post mainly covered gameplay and didn't address any of the issues that have hampered the first week of Overwatch 2. While nowhere near the levels of disruption as the first week, there are still players experiencing server issues, account glitches like the FTUE hero lockout glitch, and issues with the shop currency balancing. These still are serious issues that Blizzard may be saving for a later post or will continue to work on silently in the background as they work to stabilize the game further.

The Overwatch 2 developers use a metric of hero win rate to determine how popular a particular hero is in the game. If a hero's win rate falls too far above or below 45%-55%, Blizzard will look to make changes to that hero. As of now, there are no heroes that currently fall far out of that range, and they are most comfortable with the balance of the game right now. However, they are aware that Zarya is famously overpowered in Total Mayhem and are working on a mode-specific change to her in the next major patch scheduled for October 25.
The developers sound mostly comfortable with the pick rate and win rate throughout all roles in the game. While D.Va seems to be a popular pick among players, the rest of the tank roster is still seeing steady
