Oppo updates its Reno series smartphones faster than any other brand and despite the Reno 8 series only a few months old, we are now talking about the Reno 9 series. Just a day ago, we got to see a wild glimpse at the Reno 9 and now, its entire specifications sheet is out. The display itself will get an upgrade. It will be a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is an upgrade from the 90Hz panel we have seen on the previous models. The phone will also get an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric verification.
Oppo is also said to ditch the MediaTek chipsets in favour of the older Snapdragon 778G chip, which was the choice of phone makers back in 2021. The Snapdragon 778G is not the most powerful chipset available to phone makers in the midrange segment yet but it is still a solid performer if optimised nicely.
