Summer is almost behind us, fall temps are in the air, and we're about to flip the calendar over to September. That means there are many more reasons to stay inside and catch up with new content hitting Hulu. Some of the content is available starting on September 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
On September 14, The Handmaid's Tale will be coming back for its Season 5 premiere with two new episodes out of the gate. A synopsis for the next gripping, and likely hard to watch--in a worthwhile way--batch of episodes is as follows: «In Season 5, June faces consequences for killing Commander Waterford while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power. June, Luke, and Moira fight Gilead from a distance as they continue their mission to save and reunite with Hannah.»
Finally, on September 16, Atlanta will come back for its Season 4 premiere--which will also be the beginning of its final season. The show will conclude on November 10. Based on Season 3, it's hard to predict what the FX show has in store. Creator and star Donald Glover has steered the surreal comedy to some unexpected places--which was the most true in the previous season. What began as a story about a college dropout trying to manage his cousin's rap career has become a show filled with existential explorations of racism, fame, and family.
