Every month, the Trading Post will have new collectables available to purchase, and next month we've datamined four pets for sale! Two of these are recolors of currently exclusive rewards, while the other two are returning from the in-game store, giving players a chance to obtain them without spending real money.
New Pets EgbobEgbob is likely familiar to most players who have completed Children's Week in Outlands, with Egbert being one of the most popular rewards for helping the orphans of old Draenor. This questline only comes around once a year though, and with four exclusive rewards (plus several other simultaneous Children's Week events), it can take quite a while to get them all!
PippinPippin is a recolor of the Alarm-O-Dog, exclusively awarded from the Gnomeregan Pet Battle Challenge vendor. Aside from taking several weeks to amass the currency required to purchase, this makes the somewhat exclusive to players who actually engage with pet battles rather than those who just collect pets, although unlike most pets bought from the challenge vendor, it can also be bought and sold on the auction house.
Returning Store Items Pandaren MonkThe Pandaren Monk was added to the in-game store in November of 2009, before being removed in January 2023. For the first two months of its sale, Blizzard donated 50% of proceeds to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, raising over $1.1 million dollars.
Lil' RagnarosLil' Ragnaros was added to the in-game store in November of 2010, and is unique in that he can be used as a cooking fire for adventures on the go! Unlike most pets, he also doesn't always move until the player gets a certain distance away, at which he will submerge and reappear nearby.
