May 2022’s free PlayStation Plus games have been teased early by a notoriously reliable leaker.
Dealabs user billbil-kun, who has been accurately leaking the PS Plus line-ups almost every month since September 2021, has revealed what they claim to be the new titles coming to the service in May.
The new batch of games reportedly includes FIFA 22, marking the first time a FIFA game has been given away as part of PlayStation Plus.
According to billbil-kun, the three games available from May 3 to June 7 will be:
April’s PlayStation Plus games are still available to claim until May 2. These are Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated.
Free PlayStation Plus games will still continue to be offered every month after the service undergoes its revamp in June, Sony has confirmed.
Sony’s new PlayStation Plus structure will launch for PS4 and PS5 in June, structured across three payment tiers: Essentials, Extra and Premium.
While the Essentials tier offers the same benefits as the current PS Plus service, Extra will include 400 downloadable PS4 and PS5 games, while Premium will include a further 340 PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games (all of which are downloadable except PS3 games, which will be streaming-only).
Premium will also offer cloud streaming access for original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 games offered in the Extra and Premium tiers in markets where PlayStation Now is currently available.
In addition, Premium members will be able to access time-limited game trials, allowing them to try select games before they buy. Premium will cost $17.99/€16.99/£13.49 a month, $49.99/€49.99/£39.99 for three months, or $119.99/€119.99/£99.99 a year.
