Amazon Studios has released a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, showing more of the highly anticipated Middle-earth TV series that is set to debut very soon.
This trailer, like those that came before it, focuses a lot on Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and her journey. It sets up many different storylines and characters, too, and it'll be interesting to see how The Rings of Power weaves it all together.
The Rings of Power is set during the Second Age of Middle-earth, long before the events of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. Some characters from the films will appear in the TV series, however, including Galadriel and Elrond. Sauron is the big villain.
The Rings of Power premieres Thursday, September 1, at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET on Prime Video. There will be two episodes available then, with the remaining six in Season 1 premiering Fridays at 12 AM ET.t
The first two episodes will screen in theaters on August 31, and here's how to get tickets and a free snack voucher for the event.
The Rings of Power premieres not long after HBO's fantasy show, House of the Dragon, which dropped its first episode on August 21. Author George R.R. Martin has commented on the so-called «rivalry» between House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power, saying he hopes both shows succeed.
