Lost Ark's first major update of the month is bringing an impressive array of quality of life changes along with further refinement to many of the game's systems. Everything from the chat system, controller support, strongholds, guilds, andLost Ark's Adventurer Tome have been touched on in this update as the game prepares for its first round of server merges.
Following the rocky launch of New World late last year,Lost Ark is Amazon Games' second venture into the MMORPG market. The game has been one of the most-played MMOs in South Korea since its release in 2019, while its later Western release this year also enjoyed a massive influx of players that helped skyrocketLost Ark to the top of the Steam charts. As a class-based free-to-play MMORPG with Diablo-like combat and deep build customization,Lost Ark naturally relies on a steady pace of updates to improve game balance, implement new features, and bring in additional content to keep its player base satisfied.

While this update for Lost Ark doesn't come with any additional gameplay content, it's a significant step forward in polishing existing aspects of the game. Improvements to the chat system such as the ability to write announcements in Global Chat, a new clickable «send message» button, new chat category filters such as Combat and Content, and the consolidation of tab groups like Loot, Experience, and Currency into an «Obtained» category are all welcome changes. Friends and blocked players are now roster-wide, and a new /block command makes blocking trouble players easy. Guilds can now also form up to five guild group chat channels for 3000 Bloodstones.
