Lost Ark: Cards Explained
While Lost Ark is a lot of fun, the learning curve can be a beast. To keep it fresh, there are many unique mechanics and systems that are introduced throughout the game. Some, like cards, are made available right away and don't have enough explanation attached to them.
Things We Love About Lost Ark (& Thigns We Don't)
For those who aren't content to struggle with the idea of cards throughout the game, that's a smart move. Those who understand how to use cards will receive an immediate benefit from using them. It's one of the ways the top Lost Ark players set themselves apart.
Open the card catalogue (Alt+C by default) and flip over to the second tab. These are the various books that provide permanent buffs to the player once they are gathered. Individually, these cards do nothing but, when a collection is completed, they provide some large boosts.

These boosts will be located in the middle toward the bottom of the screen. Each book has a collection bonus and then another bonus if the cards are leveled up. To enhance from this screen, hold control and right-click on the card, then select «enhance.» This is the best place for beginners to start.
To enhance cards, spend card XP enhancement point and drag the meter all the way to the right. This will also cost some silver. There is no benefit for partially leveling up a card, so if the meter can't be filled, save the silver and card XP points and come back later. Eventually, this process will also cost duplicate cards, so don't be afraid to stock up on extra cards.
