By now, it is no secret that something new is making its way to Elden Ring in the near future. Earlier this week, the 1.07 update all but confirmed that DLC of some sort is coming, with several hints hidden within the update’s code. While FromSoftware is still playing coy with information, new datamined details point to a coliseum-style update in the game’s future.
When the update launched, dataminers were quick to dive in and uncover all its secrets. An initial look uncovered several hidden traces of impending DLC. Dataminer Sekiro Dubi laid out all the clues found in that first dive. They include "new hair, new hair models for character creator, new map files from audio banks m20, and m45, new coliseum map files, assets, textures, and lots of subtle map changes”.

If that wasn’t enough to get you hyped for some Lands Between coliseum action, some more digging has unearthed even more clues of a PVP arena DLC. Again, Sekiro Dubi notes that the update added “4 new parameters for 4 new Text Banners to be displayed on screen”. These match the unused text banners uncovered in the 1.0 update. They display phrases like “Begin Match”, “You Win”, “You Lose”, and “Draw”.
Those phrases sure sound like the text you'd read when dealing with some type of PVP fight. Add in the fact that those large Colosseum arenas are just sitting in the game, unused, and all these clues seem to be adding up to one thing - a trip to the coliseum. Even though FromSoft has yet to confirm anything, it doesn’t take a group of meddling kids and their dog to solve this mystery.
