In Jurassic World Dominion dinosaurs have spread across the globe, but how are the franchise's dinosaurs reproducing? Scheduled to premiere on June 10, 2022, Jurassic World Dominion will take place four years after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which ended with the escape of dinosaurs onto the mainland. After being rescued from Isla Nublar due to the island’s volcanic activity, the dinosaurs were sent to California. There, many of them were at risk of being killed by a poisonous gas leak, so Maisie, a girl who was also a genetic clone, set them free.
However, this does not explain how the dinosaurs were able to spread throughout the world by the time Jurassic World Dominion takes place. Based on fossils, paleontologists estimate that dinosaurs typically laid 3 to 5 eggs at a time or clutches of 15 to 20 eggs due to high risks from predators (via ThoughtCo). Without as many natural predators, far more baby dinosaurs would survive to adulthood in modern times. Additionally, research estimates it only took 3 to 6 months for dinosaur eggs to hatch in their natural habitat.

This shows that it would be possible for dinosaurs to multiply quickly under favorable circumstances, but it does not explain how the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Dominion could reproduce at all. As established in the first Jurassic Park movie, scientists genetically engineered the dinosaurs to all be female to prevent breeding. In addition, it should not be
