The biggest ever Domain Expansion battle in Jujutsu Kaisen will transpire in the next chapter with three different cursed energy users activating their own at once.
The battle between Yuta Okkotsu, Takako Uro, and Ryu Ishigori seemed to have reached its highest point during the Culling Game when Yuta finally summoned what the series just proved to be his cursed Rika technique. But as their fight raged on, chapter 178 ended in a way that few fans probably saw coming: all three of them activating their own respective Domain Expansions.

Up until this point, Jujutsu Kaisen had not only failed to hint that Yuta could even summon one of his own specialized barriers, but the highest number of Domain Expansions that had ever been used in battle simultaneously had been two, never three. The first time two were activated at once occurred when Kokichi Muta used a Simple Domain to negate the effects of the cursed spirit Mahito's Self-Embodiment of Perfection. Of course, Simple Domains aren't actual Domain Expansions as they just emulate the same effects as the latter types temporarily (guaranteeing a hit) without actually creating a whole environment. And Kokichi used his as they were originally intended: to counter full Domain Expansions.
