We are less than a week away from the next big release of Apple’s software platform for iPhones- iOS 16 at Apple WWDC 2022. The annual developer conference of Apple will take place on June 6. The new iOS 16 update is likely to bring a bunch of new features for its supported devices like iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and more. According to rumors, iOS 16 will also bring an improved notification system as well as a new multitasking management interface for iPadOS. According to a Bloomberg's report, iOS 16 will bring a “fairly significant” update across the board, while design will remain the same. One of the major focuses will apparently be on notifications as Apple is planning to bring some big improvements this year.
Additionally, it will also include new health-tracking features. Health apps and its integration with Apple Watch have been a focal point of Apple software updates in recent years. The new health-oriented features in iOS 16 will also include the new health features in watchOS 9 i.e, activity and health tracking.
Apart from these, iOS 16 is also speculated to build the groundwork for several AR and VR features ahead of theApple’s first mixed reality headset launch.
Additionally, the new OS update will bring in future support for an always-on lock screen on iPhone 14 Pro models slated to launch later this year. There are also reports suggesting iOS 16 will bring more “social-network like functionality” to the Messages app, with a particular focus on new audio messaging features.
