Along the way there will be interesting characters that give their opinions about the world, allowing players to piece together the lore and shedding light on a story that some tried to bury.

These small trinkets are the remains of a time that was otherwise long-forgotten and hold secrets of the kingdom’s history. However, this information cannot be extracted by just anyone, and if players wish to know more, then they must delve ever deeper into the dilapidated kingdom to find someone who can.

Throughout their travels, players can collect four types of relics. These collectibles are signaled to the player as small glowing orbs, similarly to other interactable items. The Wanderer’s Journals scattered around the map are always in the presence of a corpse. These journals contain the writings of the individuals they belonged to, but the language is old and only a true scholar can decipher the texts.
The most common of the relics are the Hallownest Seals, which are the official symbol of the kingdom of Hallownest. Players will notice as they explore Hallownest that the iconography used for the Seals can be found in the architecture, including elements of the Pale King and even the Monarch Wings.
