Google Pixel 7a has leaked months before its expected unveiling in the summer of 2023. The Pixel 7a is expected to be an affordable variant of the Pixel 7 that was announced in October 2022. Succeeding the Pixel 6a that was announced back in summer of 2022, the Pixel 7a renders have given us a fair idea of what to expect from this affordable Pixel device. Now, a fresh new video leak has given us a look at how this Pixel 7a could look like in the real world.
The Pixel 7a leaked video emerges from Vietnam, showing the device in all its glory. As suggested by the renders, the Pixel 7a looks exactly like the Pixel 7, save for the Pixel 6a-like front having slightly thicker display bezels. The rear appears to have a dual camera setup along with visor. The body seems to have a plastic rear, which has been a staple with the Pixel a series devices.
The Pixel 7a also seems to have a new OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The video shows a toggle for the same under the Settings menu, as well as smoother scrolling. To remind you, the Pixel 6a from early 2022 only came with a 60Hz OLED display, which was a big concern among those who wanted to switch from other Android phones.
Previous rumours suggest that the Pixel 7a will get a FHD resolution OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, dual rear cameras, wireless charging capped at 5W, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is expected to rely on the Tensor G2 chip from the Pixel 7 series.
Currently, the Pixel 6a is Google's most affordable smartphone offering in India and other global markets. We had reviewed the Pixel 6a and were left impressed with its photography performance as well as its battery life. The phone uses the Tensor chip from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
