The full list of graphics modes available for God of War Ragnarök have been confirmed.
Developer Santa Monica Studio presented the graphics options available to PS5, PS4 Pro and PS4 players in an image tweeted overnight, which details each mode’s resolution and FPS and is viewable below.
The PS5 version of the game offers two distinct options (favour performance or quality), each of which can be pushed further by players who have a TV that can support HDMI 2.1.
PS4 Pro also offers performance and quality modes.
In a recent God of War Ragnarök preview, VGC called the game “an improved sequel” in every way.
“Graphically, the game is just astonishing,” we said. “Across the first five hours, we were blown away by the leap in visual quality here, and just how well the game performs. Ragnarok offers a few different visual settings, with a performance mode, and a resolution mode. Each of these modes can also be improved with a high frame rate mode, should you have a monitor or TV that supports it.
“Thankfully we do, so we got to experience just how much of a game-changer that high frame rate mode is. On performance mode with high frame rate enabled, we were able to play the game consistently between 80-90 frames per second, providing an incredibly smooth experience, and contributing to the sense that this game really is a technical leap from its original.
“Resolution mode is, obviously, stunning, but really the only thing you lose with our combo of performance and high frame rate are a few of the tiniest details.”
The God of War Ragnarök release date is November 9, but the game is reportedly being sold early at some retailers, leading to significant story spoilers appearing online.
