Genshin Impact's combat system is based around combining various elements in order to trigger different elemental reactions which allow players to deal additional damage. At the moment, Genshin Impact characters can apply eight different elemental reactions.
Naturally, the introduction of a new element will bring with it unique reactions which will likely have a major impact on the current state of the game. Numerous leaks and rumors have already revealed that a brand-new major region is just around the corner, as is a new element.

Dendro is the only element that is not part of a character's kit at the moment, though there have been plenty of rumors revealing that it will be a part of the upcoming major update. Two of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers named Lumie and Genshin Intel have revealed a video showing the new elemental reactions applied on the battlefield. In order to apply the element on the enemy, the leaker is using the Dendro Samachurl's various attacks. The leak has confirmed previous rumors that the two new elemental reactions are called Overgrown and Intensified.
According to the leak, Overgrown is triggered when Hydro and Dendro are combined. This reaction drops seeds that explode after a short period of time dealing AoE damage. The second reaction, Intensified, is caused when Electro meets Dendro, and it increases both types of elemental damage. The leak does not show the combination of Pyro and Dendro, probably because this Genshin Impact elemental reaction already exists in the game.
