The action role-playing game's next big expansion is due to arrive on February 16, with fans eager to get there hands on the title's newest piece of content. A February 4 livestream revealed Genshin Impact 2.5's new characters and events, preparing gamers for a robust update in the coming weeks.
Thanks to the recent livestream, fans now have an abundance of information about the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 2.5. The update will introduce new playable character Yae Miko, an Electro user who wields Catalysts in combat and also serves as the head maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine. A new 5-star Catalyst weapon called Kagura's Verity will accompany Yae Miko, offering bonuses to elemental skills. New story quests will focus on Yae Miko as well as a new weekly boss named Raiden Shogun, and multiple new in-game events will be added too. The livestream also revealed playable Genshin Impact character Kamisato Ayato, though he is not expected to be added to the game until Version 2.6.
