Milestone quests were added to Fortnite at the start of this third Chapter. Each Milestone has 20 stages, meaning that you'll have to do these tasks a specific amount of times per stage and you can repeat 20 times to get some experience points.

Thankfully the stages don't get progressively harder, the number of times you'll have to complete a certain task doesn't increase as you move on to the next stage. Therefore, there's not as much grinding and most of these can be done naturally as you play through the Season.
Just like last Season, there are 18 Milestone Quests and they're all worth the same amount of experience points. Of course, some will be much easier to complete naturally than others but if you occasionally read through the list, you'll remember to do tasks that you normally wouldn't do and it won't be that much of a challenge. Try to vary your gameplay and try different game modes, it'll help with these challenges for sure.
So, since there is quite a lot to do you might be interested in knowing how you can check your Milestone quests progress. Press the Map keybind/button and then go to the Quests tab. Move down to the Milestones section which can be found below the Daily and Season sections.
Select the Milestones section and you can see all the quests as well as how far along you're doing and which stage you're on. You will also be able to check out your Milestones Bonus Goals punchcard. Each time you complete ten Milestone quest stages you'll get 15,000 XP and move up a tier on your punchcard. This is just some bonus XP for doing your tasks.
