Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 5 has been announced on Netflix for its official OTT release and we even have a date. The upcoming installment in the long-running docu-drama series on Netflix enters its fifth season, this time giving us a peek into the FIA Formula 1 2022 season. The 2022 season saw Formula 1 introduce new rules and regulations, allowing for next generation aero tweaks technological advancements. The Season 5 of Drive To Survive is now coming by the end of February 2023.
Netflix has released a trailer video that confirms February 24, 2023 as the release date for Drive To Survive Season 5. This falls just weeks ahead of the 2023 Formula 1 championship kicking off in early March, with the winter testing being the first event and the Bahrain GP in the following weeks. Drive To Survive Season 5 will cover the entirety of the F1 22 season, focusing on drivers, teams, race events and a lot more.
Not much is known about the number of episodes this season will air. However, all the episodes are usually released on the first day and they are laid out in the chronological order, following the events of the on-track action.
The teaser video itself shows reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen settling for an interview, along with fellow drivers from other teams. Drive to Survive will conduct interviews with key F1 drivers and team executives, providing a closer and more personal look at many of F1's top contemporary figures and rivalries. The narration is once again done by popular F1 commentator and journalist Will Buxton.
