Elden Ring players have discovered an item of clothing that appears to have been cut during development.
The Deathbed Smalls are a pair of underwear that can only be obtained via cheating, but the item has a full list of stats, which implies the item was originally planned to be included in the game.
The character that wears the item in-game, Fia, also wears several other clothing pieces that can be found throughout Elden Ring, however the Deathbed Smalls appear to be the only element that has been removed.
While the exact reason for the item being removed isn’t known, it’s likely due to the fact that the item is a small piece of underwear, and while FromSoftware games are known for players running around in nothing but rags, this item has connotations that are slightly out the realm of traditional Souls attire.

Souls games are typically full of cut content, so it’s likely that there are many other pieces of armour that can’t be obtained by players, but this item is notable as Fia is one of the first NPCs players encounter in the Roundtable Hold.
Players have even discovered an area believed to be planned for future DLC. As found by Lance McDonald, by using a mod to go out of bounds next to a large, inaccessible arena in the game, players have been able to find a completed multiplayer arena, which has led many to speculate that it will arrive as part of DLC soon.
Elden Ring has sold 12 million units in its first couple of weeks on sale, Bandai Namco has claimed.
FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed epic was released on February 25, and according to Bandai Namco‘s figures the game had passed 12 million sales by March 14.
