The Cliffbottom Catacombs is one of the many short dungeons you can enter in Elden Ring’s Liurna region to get some runes, useful items, and the unique Kaiden Sellsword Spirit Ashes. As with other catacombs in the game, this particular dungeon is filled with imps, ogres, traps and plenty of other hazards that you’ll need to overcome in order to claim your rewards.

This particular dungeon is one of the many areas to complete in Liurna to gain runes and levels before tackling the challenging Raya Lucaria Academy legacy dungeon to progress through the game. It culminates in a boss fight against another Erdtree Burial Watchdog variant, which you may be familiar with from the earlier catacomb dungeons.
You can find Cliffbottom Catacombs in the east of the Liurna region, at the bottom of some cliffs as the name aptly describes.
Cliffbottom Catacombs is slightly more difficult than the catacomb dungeons in Limgrave due to the addition of ogre type enemies, which pack a serious punch. Aside from this though, the method of navigating the dungeon is similar to the other catacombs - find a lever to unlock a locked door in order to progress to the boss.
The imps in this dungeon love to hide in shadows, so it’s recommended to bring a torch to illuminate your surroundings. In addition, you might want to have a Stonesword Key to access an area with some additional items.
From the site of grace, turn right and head downwards using the button-activated elevator. There’s only one way forward from here, so head down the tunnel where you’ll see an imp that you need to fight.
